We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and retail sales, with the ability to create engaging shopping experiences for our customers. As a Sales Associate, you will play a vital role in driving sales and ensuring customer satisfaction in our grocery store environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and assisting with product selections.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently, handling transactions accurately and ensuring smooth checkout experiences.
• Engage customers through product demonstrations and upselling techniques to enhance their shopping experience.
• Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays, stocking shelves, and ensuring products are well-presented and accessible.
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and participating in restocking efforts as needed.
• Supervise junior staff members when necessary, providing guidance and support to ensure effective team performance.
• Uphold store policies regarding cash handling and ensure compliance with all operational procedures.

Skills

• Strong communication skills with an emphasis on phone etiquette for customer interactions.
• Experience in retail sales, including knowledge of retail math for accurate pricing and discounts.
• Proficient in basic math skills to handle transactions and cash handling effectively.
• Familiarity with merchandising techniques to create appealing product displays.
• Ability to perform stocking duties efficiently while maintaining organization within the store.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customer bases.
