Sales Associate

For more than 40 years, Tallahassee Lighting & Decor has been North Florida/South Georgia's premier destination for inspired lighting and home decor. We are looking for a motivated sales professional with an eye for design and a passion for helping customers transform ideas into beautiful solutions for their homes and offices using lighting, furniture, ceiling fans and decor.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist customers with lighting, furniture and home decor selections to provide an outstanding customer experience and a successful project planning experience

• Collaborate with our sales team to attract new customers and retain existing customers

• Become proficient with our point-of-sale system

-Accurately account for and handle merchandise

• Properly document transactions and handle cash and credit card transactions

• Maintain a clean, attractive and organized showroom appearance

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

• Professional appearance and conduct

• Must be outgoing, friendly, motivated and have a positive attitude

• Detail oriented and able to successfully perform tasks in a retail sales environment

• Good judgment, reliability and punctuality

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Commitment to providing outstanding customer service

• Proficient computer skills

• Able to lift at least 15 pounds without assistance and able to climb stairs

• High school graduate

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 year+ of retail/showroom sales experience providing face-to-face customer service - preferably of lighting, furniture or home decor

• An eye for design, creativity and a commitment to helping customers successfully plan and complete their project

Job Type:

Fulltime/Part-time - 25 to 40 hours per week, including some Saturdays. No Sundays or evenings.

Compensation is based on experience and qualifications.
