Sales Associate - Food

The Sales Associate – Food Section is responsible for delivering excellent customer service, promoting and selling food products, and ensuring the proper presentation, quality, and availability of products within the assigned area. The role supports daily sales operations while maintaining food safety, sanitation, and company standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist customers with product inquiries, recommendations, and purchases to ensure a positive shopping experience.
• Promote food products and contribute to the achievement of individual and store sales targets.
• Ensure proper product display, pricing, labeling, and stock replenishment.
• Monitor product freshness, quality, and expiration dates to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and orderliness of the assigned work area.
• Assist in inventory monitoring and report stock shortages, damaged products, and potential wastage.
• Follow proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures.
• Address customer concerns professionally and refer complex issues to the immediate supervisor.
• Coordinate with team members to ensure efficient daily operations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Qualifications

• Open to fresh graduates of any course.
• Candidates with experience working in a fast-paced food industry environment are preferred but not required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to a fast-paced retail and food service environment.
• Customer-oriented, proactive, and attentive to details.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and food safety practices is an advantage.
• Willing to work on-site in Ligao City, including shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays, as required.
