POSITION SUMMARY

The Sales Associate delivers a great customer experience and keeps the showroom floor staged and shoppable. This is a dual role: consultative sales on luxury consigned furniture and home furnishings, plus hands-on moving, placing, and restaging pieces on the floor as inventory turns.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales and Customer Service

• Greet and assist customers in a warm, knowledgeable manner
• Guide customers through the showroom and share product details, dimensions, and condition
• Process sales transactions accurately using the POS system
• Support consignor intake and item tagging as needed
• Coordinate customer pickups and help load purchased items safely

Showroom Floor and Merchandising

• Place, relocate, and stage furniture and home furnishings on the showroom floor
• Work with team members on team lifts for large or heavy items
• Rearrange displays for new inventory, seasonal changes, and markdowns
• Keep the showroom clean, organized, and at visual standards
• Follow all safety protocols when moving merchandise, including using dollies and moving equipment (

Team and Operations

• Support daily store operations as directed by management
• Travel to other Eco Chic Consignments locations when scheduled

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift

• Bend, stoop, kneel, and reach as needed

• Lift and move up to 75 lbs. with team lift assistance

• Push and pull furniture using dollies and moving equipment

• Work in an active retail showroom and occasionally on loading areas

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

• Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed
• Reliable transportation for occasional travel to other locations
• Ability to meet the physical demands listed below, with or without reasonable accommodation

Preferred

• Prior retail or customer service experience
• Interest in home furnishings, interior design, or luxury resale

• Friendly, professional communication with customers and consignors
