Sales Associate/ Stylist

Overview:

A successful candidate will have outstanding customer service skills. Sales Associate/ Stylists are the face of Crossed Arrows. They are responsible for dealing with any and all customer questions about the products and service we offer. Sales Associates/ Stylists are expected to be continuously updating their knowledge of the company products, services and policies. They must have a strong emphasis on guest service, product and visual presentation, and be an effective problem solver. They must possess an entrepreneurial spirit.

Complaint handling is a vital part of this position. The ability to turn a frustrated customer into a happy customer, while adhering to company policies is a must. Another key responsibility is maintaining the presentation of the sales floor, products, signage, and displays.

Responsibilities:

Greeting customers, responding to questions, improving engagement with merchandise and providing excellent customer service.

Operating cash registers, managing financial transactions, and balancing drawers

Achieving established goals

Directing customers to merchandise within the store

Superior product knowledge

Maintaining an orderly appearance throughout the sales floor

Introducing promotions and opportunities to customers

Cross-selling products to increase purchase amounts

Quickly and accurately pricing and tagging new merchandise

Processing incoming and outgoing shipments

Ensure store is open and ready for daily operations

Close store according to outlined procedures

Customers remain the #1 priority

Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service

Assess customers needs and provide assistance and information on products

Welcome customers to the store and answer their questions

Go the extra mile to drive sales and meet sales goals

Maintain in-stock and presentable condition

Actively seek out customers in the store

Handle returns of merchandise

Team up with co-workers to ensure proper customer service

Build productive trust relationships with customers

Comply with inventory control procedures

Suggest ways to improve sales

Get merchandise ready for the sales floor

Restock merchandise as needed

Qualifications:

Professional appearance

Maintain a positive attitude and focus on customer satisfaction

Ability to read, write, and perform basic math

Flexible availability - including nights, weekends, and holidays

Confident and comfortable engaging with customers to deliver excellent service

Motivated to achieve great results because of enthusiasm for interacting with customers

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Proactive and creative problem solving abilities

Flexible and adaptable

Ability to multi-task and balance multiple priorities

Initiates completion of tasks or actives without necessary supervision

Excellent cash handling skills

Physical Requirements:

Ability to effectively maneuverer around sales floor and stockroom, repetitive bending, prolonged standing, twisting, squatting and climbing

Must be able to work alone

Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 pounds

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary

Pay: $8.00 - $12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 32.0 per week
