Duties

• Greet customers warmly, identify their needs, and provide personalized product recommendations.
• Conduct engaging product demos to showcase features and benefits, enhancing customer understanding and interest.
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for retail sales transactions, including cash register operations and cash handling.
• Assist with stocking shelves, organizing displays, and merchandising to ensure an attractive shopping environment.
• Upsell complementary products by identifying customer preferences and explaining additional benefits.
• Manage retail store product knowledge to answer customer inquiries confidently and effectively.
• Maintain excellent phone etiquette when handling inquiries or assisting customers remotely.
• Supervise or assist in supervising team members during shifts to ensure smooth store operations.
• Handle cash drawer balancing, basic math calculations for transactions, and retail math accuracy daily.

Skills

• Proven experience with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail sales transactions.
• Strong supervising experience or leadership skills in a retail environment.
• Ability to perform product demos confidently and educate customers about merchandise features.
• Bilingual skills are highly valued to serve diverse customer bases effectively.
• Excellent communication skills coupled with professional phone etiquette for customer interactions.
• Skilled in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining customer satisfaction.
• Experience with stocking, merchandising, and managing retail store product knowledge—especially in grocery or similar retail settings.
• Basic math proficiency for handling cash handling, cash drawer balancing, and retail math calculations accurately.
• Knowledge of grocery store operations or related retail environments is a plus for understanding store flow and inventory management.
