Sales Consultant – RF / Wireless Infrastructure
Van Nuys, CA | National Territory

Turn Technical Knowledge Into Revenue
Are you a technical sales hunter who understands wireless infrastructure and loves creating new business?
We’re looking for a Sales Consultant to sell highly specialized RF-over-Fiber solutions into some of the most sophisticated wireless and communications environments in the country.
This is not a Sales Engineer role. You’ll own the commercial relationship and sales process while partnering with experienced Sales Engineers who handle deeper technical solution design.
Your job is to find the opportunity, understand the customer’s challenge, build relationships with the right decision-makers, create momentum, and drive the business through close.
You’ll work with wireless carriers, system integrators, neutral host providers, public safety organizations, engineering firms, government and defense applications, satellite communications providers, and other complex RF environments.
What You’ll Own
- Hunt for net-new business and continuously develop a qualified pipeline
- Own the full sales cycle from prospecting and discovery through proposal, negotiation, contracting, and close
- Identify opportunities involving RF-over-Fiber, DAS, small cell, macro networks, GPS-over-Fiber, and related RF transport applications
- Develop relationships with wireless carriers, system integrators, engineering firms, neutral host providers, public safety organizations, and other specialized communications customers
- Engage both technical stakeholders and business decision-makers
- Partner with Sales Engineers to evaluate customer environments and develop the right technical solution
- Translate complex technical capabilities into clear business and financial value
- Build compelling business cases around customer needs
- Expand relationships within existing accounts while continuing to pursue new logos
- Manage multiple opportunities with varying sales cycles and levels of complexity
- Represent the organization at customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events
- Maintain strong pipeline visibility and consistently work toward quarterly and annual sales goals
We’re looking for someone who combines technical credibility with a true hunter mentality.
- Approximately 5+ years of B2B sales experience
- Proven quota-carrying experience as a direct revenue contributor
- Demonstrated success prospecting and creating net-new business
- Experience selling within RF, wireless communications, telecommunications infrastructure, fiber optics, system integration, or a closely related technical environment
- Knowledge of RF-over-Fiber, DAS, small cell, macro networks, GPS-over-Fiber, or related wireless technologies
- Ability to engage engineers and technical stakeholders while also reaching business and executive decision-makers
- Strong consultative discovery, presentation, negotiation, and closing skills
- Ability to translate technical solutions into business outcomes
- Self-directed, accountable, persistent, and comfortable operating with significant autonomy
- Willingness to travel nationally approximately 30%
The Sales Environment
This role offers an interesting mix of new-business development and account expansion.
At launch, the business mix is expected to be approximately 50% new-business development and 50% expansion within existing customers.
Sales cycles vary based on the opportunity. Straightforward product transactions may close in less than a month, complex solutions commonly run three to six months, and larger strategic initiatives may develop over multiple years.
Location & Work Environment
This position is based in the Greater Los Angeles / San Fernando Valley area.
The first six months are onsite Monday through Friday to accelerate product knowledge, technical learning, and collaboration with the engineering and sales teams.
After the initial six-month ramp period, the role transitions to a hybrid schedule with a minimum of two days onsite per week.
The position also includes approximately 30% national travel for customer meetings, business development, trade shows, and industry events. Travel expenses are company-paid.
You’ll have the opportunity to:
- Own your territory and pipeline
- Create new revenue rather than simply inherit an existing book
- Build relationships with sophisticated RF and wireless customers
- Sell complex, engineered solutions rather than commodity products
- Work directly with experienced technical and sales leadership
- Influence how the organization approaches new markets and customers
- Build relationships across wireless, public safety, aerospace, defense, satellite, and telecommunications environments
You don’t need to be the engineer in the room.
You do need to understand enough technically to uncover the opportunity, ask intelligent questions, earn credibility, and know when to bring the technical experts into the conversation.
If you’re a technical seller, relentless prospector, and relationship builder who understands the RF/wireless ecosystem and wants to own the commercial side of complex opportunities, we’d love to talk.
Other offers great for you!
