Sales Coordinator

About the role

The Sales Coordinator will provide administrative and operational support to the Sales team at Mandai Rainforest Resort by Banyan Tree, while coordinating sales activities, events, and client engagements. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Sales, the role involves managing relationships with travel agencies and distribution partners to drive bookings, strengthen market presence, and enhance the Resort's visibility.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the planning and execution of sales activities and events, including meetings, conferences, and incentive programs, ensuring all client requirements are effectively coordinated and fulfilled.
• Serve as a key point of contact for sales clients, providing professional and timely support throughout the enquiry, planning, and booking process.
• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with travel agencies, tour operators, and distribution partners to promote the Resort's packages and generate group and leisure bookings.
• Coordinate sales appointments, site inspections, client visits, presentations, and familiarisation trips as required.
• Conduct research on market trends, competitor offerings, customer preferences, and potential new business opportunities to support the Sales team's business development efforts.
• Prepare and maintain sales presentations, promotional materials, proposals, and other marketing collateral for clients and business partners.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions, enquiries, leads, and bookings in the hotel's CRM system.
• Assist in monitoring sales activities and performance and prepare regular reports and updates for management review.
• Provide administrative support to the Sales team, including preparing correspondence, sales documents, reports, and other related materials.
• Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless coordination and delivery of client requirements and commitments.

About you

• Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Business, Hospitality Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a Sales or Sales Coordination role, preferably within a luxury hotel, resort, or hospitality environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a well-established sales and service mindset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
• Proactive, resourceful, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Customer-focused with strong attention to detail and a positive attitude.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with hotel sales systems or CRM platforms would be an advantage.
