Sales Coordinator — Freight Forwarder

About the role

The Sales Coordinator supports the freight forwarding sales team by preparing quotes, coordinating with carriers and operations, maintaining customer records, and following shipments through to delivery. The role helps ensure customers receive timely, accurate information for air and land freight services.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to customer requests for freight rates, transit times, routing, and service options.
• Prepare and follow up on quotations for air freight, road transport, customs clearance, and related services.
• Coordinate with overseas agents, carriers, customs brokers, and internal operations teams to confirm rates, space, schedules, and shipment requirements.
• Collect shipment details and support preparation of booking instructions and shipping documentation.
• Track shipments and provide customers with updates on milestones, delays, and exceptions.
• Follow up on quotes and leads, and support sales representatives with customer meetings and proposals.
• Maintain accurate customer, quotation, and sales activity records in the CRM and freight system.
• Help resolve customer service issues and escalate operational or documentation concerns.
• Prepare sales reports and assist with forecasts and account reviews.
• Follow company procedures and applicable requirements for shipping and trade documentation.

About you

• Experience in freight forwarding, logistics, sales support, or customer service is preferred.
• Familiarity with air freight processes and common shipping documents is an advantage.
• Strong communication, organization, and follow-up skills.
• Proficiency with email, spreadsheets, CRM, and freight management systems.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Customer-focused approach and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
