What they need
The Indasol Group is a growing UK-based supplier of specialist adhesives, tapes and associated products to customers across a wide range of industries.
From woodworking and joinery to shopfitting, furniture manufacturing, signage, panel production and general manufacturing, we work closely with our customers to provide the right products, technical support and service they need to keep their businesses moving.
We are now looking for a Sales Development Coordinator to join our office team in Smethwick.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, looking after customers and finding opportunities to grow existing accounts.
The Role
As a Sales Development Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of existing customers.
Rather than focusing purely on generating new business, your role will be about making our existing customers more valuable and more loyal.
You will build strong relationships with customers, understand their businesses and requirements, identify opportunities to introduce additional products and ensure they receive an excellent level of service.
You will work closely with our wider sales, administration and production teams to make sure customers receive the right products at the right time.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop a portfolio of existing customer accounts.
- Build strong, long-term relationships with customers.
- Regularly contact customers to understand their requirements and upcoming needs.
- Identify opportunities to increase sales within existing accounts.
- Introduce customers to relevant products and alternative solutions.
- Follow up on quotations and previous enquiries.
- Monitor customer purchasing patterns and identify opportunities for additional sales.
- Re-engage customers who have reduced or stopped purchasing.
- Maintain accurate customer and sales information within our systems.
- Process customer orders and enquiries accurately and efficiently.
- Work closely with the sales and administration team to ensure orders are dealt with promptly.
- Liaise with production, purchasing and warehouse teams where required.
- Provide a high level of customer service from initial enquiry through to delivery.
- Help develop customers from occasional purchasers into long-term trading partners.
- Support the wider sales team with account management and sales activity.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is commercially minded, organised and naturally good with people.
You don't necessarily need years of experience in the adhesives industry. Product knowledge can be learned. What matters more to us is your ability to build relationships, communicate confidently and spot opportunities.
Ideally, you will have:
- Previous experience in sales, account management, sales administration or customer service.
- Excellent communication skills, both over the phone and by email.
- A confident and professional telephone manner.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Good attention to detail.
- A proactive approach to customer relationships.
- The ability to identify sales opportunities rather than simply process orders.
- Good computer skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- A commercial mindset and an interest in understanding how businesses operate.
- The ability to work independently while being part of a wider team.
Why Join Indasol?
Indasol is an ambitious, growing business where your contribution can make a genuine difference.
You won't be joining a huge corporate sales department where you're simply another number. You will have the opportunity to work directly with customers, understand their businesses and play an important role in growing our existing customer base.
We are particularly focused on developing long-term customer partnerships, and this role will be central to that strategy.
