About us
Cap Ex Associates is a UK capital allowances consultancy. We help businesses claim tax relief on their property and plant spend, working on a contingency fee basis, so clients only pay if we find something.
Most of our work comes through accountancy firms that introduce their clients to us. This role grows that network.
The role
You'll book meetings with accountants for our sales team. Your time splits two ways:
- New firms (about 60%): calling accountancy practices that don't work with us yet and booking introductory meetings with partners.
- Existing firms (about 40%): staying in regular contact with our introducing firms and turning that contact into client introductions.
You won't be selling or quoting. Your job is to fill the diary with the right meetings, and you're paid for every one that happens.
Targets
We're upfront about the numbers because they're how you'll be measured and paid.
- 80 dials a day
- 9 new partner meetings attended a month
- 7 client meetings attended a month from existing-firm introductions
- Every active partner firm contacted at least once a fortnight
What you'll do
- Research firms on Companies House before you call them
- Get past reception and speak directly to partners and directors
- Book meetings and log every call and booking in our CRM (Streak) the same day
- Confirm short-notice meetings by text or email
- Rebook no-shows within 48 hours
- Work from our call scripts and have your calls reviewed weekly
What you'll need
- At least a year of B2B outbound calling, such as appointment setting, SDR work or recruitment
- Comfort with high-volume calling and daily targets
- A confident, professional manner with senior people
- Good admin habits: if it isn't in the CRM, it didn't happen
Nice to have: experience calling accountancy firms, either as a recruiter or selling a service to them, and some understanding of tax or professional services.
Package
- £28,000–£32,000 base salary, depending on experience
- Commission on every booked meeting that actually takes place, with new firm meetings paying the most
- Higher rate on every new partner meeting above target, uncapped
- OTE £40,000–£44,000
- 33 days' holiday including bank holidays, workplace pension, and full training on our scripts, process and CRM
