Key responsibilities:
- Research and prioritise target organisations, industry sectors and decision-makers across the Irish market using approved data and insight tools.
- Work closely with the Head of Sales for Ireland to support territory development, account planning and the growth of the Irish operation.
- Execute structured outbound activity across telephone, email and LinkedIn social selling, using warm, relevant and consultative messaging.
- Follow up marketing campaigns, events, webinars, content engagements and buying-intent signals promptly.
- Qualify business challenges, current systems, transformation priorities, timescales, stakeholders and next-step interest.
- Book well-qualified introductory meetings for the Head of Sales or the appropriate sales or solution specialist.
- Maintain accurate and timely records in HubSpot, including activity, notes, contact status, next actions and opportunity context.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing and subject-matter experts to develop account plans, campaign messaging and sector-specific outreach.
- Support event delegate recruitment and post-event follow-up to convert engagement into meaningful conversations.
- Build credible working knowledge across SAP, ServiceNow and the wider portfolio, including ERP, finance, HR, EAM, workflow, data, cloud and AI transformation themes.
- Share market feedback, competitor insight and prospect themes to improve campaigns, propositions and messaging.
Experience and skills:
Essential
- Confident and professional communicator, comfortable speaking with senior finance, HR, IT, operations and transformation stakeholders.
- Evidence of proactive outbound prospecting, business development, telesales, recruitment, customer engagement or a comparable target-driven role.
- Strong written communication skills for concise, personalised emails, LinkedIn messages and call follow-ups.
- Curious, resilient and comfortable handling objections while maintaining a positive customer experience.
- Organised approach to managing a pipeline of accounts, contacts, tasks and follow-up activity.
- Good research skills and the ability to turn account information into relevant conversation starters.
- Comfortable working with CRM systems, digital prospecting tools and Microsoft 365 applications.
- Able to work collaboratively, accept coaching and continuously improve messaging and activity quality.
Desirable
- Experience in B2B technology, consulting, software, professional services or enterprise transformation.
- Knowledge of the Irish enterprise market and experience developing relationships with Ireland-based organisations.
- Familiarity with SAP, ServiceNow, ERP, cloud, finance transformation, HR technology, workflow, data or AI topics.
- Experience using HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo or other intent and contact-data platforms.
- Experience supporting events, webinars or account-based marketing campaigns.
Measures of success
- Consistent delivery of agreed activity and account-engagement objectives.
- Quality and relevance of meetings booked, measured through sales acceptance and progression.
- Creation and influence of qualified pipeline from outbound, campaign and event activity.
- Contribution to the growth and development of the Irish operation across the major product portfolio.
- Accuracy, completeness and timeliness of CRM data and follow-up actions.
- Improvement in conversion rates across contact, conversation, meeting and opportunity stages.
- Positive collaboration with the Head of Sales for Ireland, marketing and solution teams.
Personal qualities
- Commercially curious and genuinely interested in understanding how organisations operate and change.
- Warm, credible and consultative rather than overly scripted or hard-selling.
- Self-motivated, dependable and comfortable working to clear objectives.
- Resilient and persistent, with sound judgement about when and how to follow up.
- Entrepreneurial and motivated by helping to grow an operation and develop a market.
- Open to feedback and keen to build a long-term career in demand generation or technology sales.
