What they need

Director of Sales

Zitting Window Manufacturing | Las Vegas, NV | Full-time

Build a window brand from zero.

Zitting Window Manufacturing is standing up a new vinyl window and door manufacturing operation in Las Vegas, backed by Zitting Construction. The plant is being built right now. The product line is locked. The sales organization does not exist yet — that’s this job.

We’re hiring a Director of Sales as our first commercial hire: the person who builds our dealer network from the first handshake, drives production builder and multifamily demand into it, owns how we go to market, and hires the team that comes after them.

This is not a role where you inherit a territory and a book of business. There’s no legacy account base and no brand recognition yet. Here’s what there is: our window and door systems are selected, we take possession of our facility in January 2027, and we’re targeting production start in late Q2 or early Q3 of 2027. You’d be selling a real product on a real timeline — and owning the commercial function outright rather than a slice of one.

What you’ll ownThe dealer network

Build it from a standing start — market map, target list, recruitment, onboarding, and dealer agreements. You’ll design the territory structure yourself, including where we play and how coverage grows without dealers cannibalizing each other. In the early years you are the relationship owner for every dealer principal we sign. You’ll also build what supports them: training, product knowledge, quoting tools, lead handling, and co-op programs.

Builder and multifamily demand

Open production builder, GC, and multifamily developer accounts, and win the spec position — get Zitting specified at the plan and budget stage rather than bid against at the end. Then route that demand through the dealer network, so dealers see us bringing them business instead of competing with them. That flywheel is the core of the strategy, and building it is the heart of this job.

Marketing and brand

You own how we show up: positioning, messaging, and what we stand for in a category where most products look alike on a spec sheet. That includes the tools sales runs on — literature, spec sheets, quote tools, website, digital presence — plus trade shows and builder association events. Until there’s a team, you generate and qualify the pipeline yourself.

Pricing, forecasting, and the plant

Own the price book and margin discipline alongside ownership and manufacturing. Deliver the sales forecast that drives production planning, capacity, and raw material commitments — in a startup plant, the forecast isn’t a formality, it’s what the operation is built against. Carry the voice of the customer back into product decisions on options, sizes, lead times, and service levels. Sales promises and plant capability have to be the same thing, which means working shoulder to shoulder with manufacturing rather than across a table from it.

The team

Carry the bag personally at the start. As volume ramps, hire, train, and lead the sales team, and build the comp plans, territories, CRM discipline, and cadence a growing organization runs on. The shape of that team is yours to design.

What you bring

Required

  • Substantial experience selling windows, doors, or comparable building products, with meaningful time in a dealer or two-step distribution channel
  • A demonstrated record of recruiting and building a dealer network — not just managing one you inherited
  • Direct experience selling to production builders and/or multifamily developers, and a working understanding of how those decisions actually get made
  • A genuine hunter’s track record: you have opened accounts from nothing, personally, recently
  • Willingness to operate without support infrastructure. In year one you are the sales team, the marketing department, and the CRM administrator.
  • Comfort with startup ambiguity — shifting timelines and decisions made on incomplete information
  • Willingness to travel. This job is built on face time with dealers and builders, and you’ll shape what that schedule looks like.

Preferred

  • Vinyl fenestration experience specifically
  • Existing dealer or builder relationships in the Southwest
  • Experience launching a new brand, plant, or product line into an established market
  • Working knowledge of NAFS/AAMA certification, NFRC ratings, ENERGY STAR, and regional energy code requirements
  • Experience standing up a CRM and a sales process from scratch

What the first year looks like

You’ll spend your first months on the road and at a whiteboard at the same time — mapping the market, building the dealer target list, and working with ownership on pricing and program structure. Six months in, we’d expect signed dealers, a live builder and multifamily pipeline, and the brand and sales tools ready for launch. By the time the line runs, the goal is simple: an order book waiting for it.

We’ll set specific targets together. You’ll know more about what’s achievable in this market than a job posting can claim.

This role is probably not for you if

  • You need an established brand and existing accounts to sell effectively
  • You want to manage a team more than you want to sell
  • You need marketing to hand you leads and collateral
  • You need every risk resolved before you’ll commit. This is a startup — some of it won’t be, and we’d rather discuss that openly than pretend otherwise.

If those are dealbreakers, better that we both know now. If they’re the reason to take the job, we should talk.

Compensation

Competitive base salary plus uncapped commission, with additional upside tied to how fast the network comes together. We’ll talk specific numbers early in the process rather than dancing around them. Relocation support is negotiable for the right candidate, and so are title and scope for someone with the track record to justify them.

How to apply

Apply through this posting. Include a short note on a dealer network or territory you built from scratch and what it looked like twelve months in — that’s the part we’ll actually read first.
