Sales Engineer (Basic RM3.2K - RM5K + Comm + Allowances)

About the role

We are an engineering‑based company supporting manufacturing and industrial customers with machining and fabrication solutions. As a Sales Engineer, you will combine technical knowledge with sales skills to help customers solve problems on the shop floor and grow our business.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new business by identifying and approaching potential industrial and manufacturing customers.
• Manage and grow relationships with existing customers, providing after‑sales support and regular follow‑up.
• Understand customers’ machining and fabrication needs and propose suitable products and services.
• Prepare quotations, follow up on proposals and close sales to achieve monthly and yearly targets.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
• Visit customer sites for meetings, basic measurements and job discussions; occasionally assist to send goods or workers to site when required.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field, OR proven experience in machining / machine shop environment.
• Knowledge of standard machine shop equipment (e.g. welding, lathe, milling, grinding) and common machinist hand tools is a strong advantage.
• Able to use measuring tools such as measuring tape and vernier calipers.
• 1–3 years’ experience in B2B industrial sales or engineering service is preferred; fresh graduates with strong technical interest are encouraged to apply.
• Possess own transport and valid driving licence; willing to travel to customer sites within the assigned area.
• Good communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English; able to liaise confidently with customers at all levels.
• Self‑driven, proactive and target‑oriented with a strong interest in both engineering and sales.
