Sales Engineer

The Sales Engineer / Estimator is responsible for developing accurate cost estimates and technical evaluations for projects and equipment requirements. This role involves analyzing drawings, technical data, and client specifications to create a precise cost breakdown that serves as the foundation for quotations prepared by the Proposal Specialist.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Cost Estimation, Pricing, and Technical Validation (Profit Protection)
2. Review project drawings, requirements, and scope to ensure technical completeness.
3. Prepare detailed cost estimates covering equipment, materials, installation, logistics, and project-related costs.
4. Recommend value engineering options and cost-efficient alternatives without compromising quality.
5. Ensure all quotations meet required profit margins before submission.
6. Provide technical and cost clarifications to Sales Executives and internal teams.
7. Participate in project reviews and recommend improvements to estimation processes and tools.
8. Execute other coordination and continuous improvement tasks as assigned by the Sales Manager.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
2. Knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment, refrigeration systems, ventilation and exhaust systems, food preparation equipment, and stainless steel fabrication.
3. Experience in hospitality, restaurants, hotels, healthcare, or food manufacturing projects is an advantage.
4. Ability to interpret architectural, kitchen, and MEPFS drawings and technical specifications.
5. Familiarity with utility requirements, including electrical, plumbing, gas, drainage, and ventilation systems.
6. Working knowledge of AutoCAD or similar CAD software is preferred.
7. Willing to conduct site inspections and travel for client meetings when required.
