About the Role

We are looking for a Sales Engineer to join our team in Kelana Jaya on a full-time basis. The role combines technical knowledge with sales and customer engagement. You will identify business opportunities, build and maintain client relationships, and provide technical support throughout the sales process.

You will work closely with customers and internal teams to understand requirements, propose suitable engineering solutions, and support business growth while maintaining a high standard of customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within assigned territories, developing and maintaining a robust sales pipeline
• Provide technical expertise and consultation to clients, translating their requirements into suitable engineering solutions
• Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations to prospective clients
• Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients and stakeholders
• Collaborate with the technical and engineering teams to ensure solutions meet client specifications and project requirements
• Conduct market analysis and competitive research to identify trends and opportunities for business growth
• Prepare detailed quotations, proposals, and technical documentation for client submissions
• Track and report on sales activities, pipeline progress, and revenue forecasts
• Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote company services and generate leads
• Support the after-sales process, ensuring client satisfaction and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline, preferably in Electrical Engineering, with relevant engineering or sales certifications being an advantage.
• Experience in Sales Engineering, Technical Sales, or a similar role is preferred. Fresh graduates with a strong interest in technical sales are encouraged to apply.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles, products, and technical solutions.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to customers.
• Ability to understand customer needs and recommend suitable technical solutions.
• Proficient in CRM systems and sales management tools.
• Strong negotiation and closing skills with a results-driven approach.
• Able to work independently and collaborate effectively with internal teams.
• Good command of English; Bahasa Malaysia is an added advantage.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel as required.
