Sales Engineer

About the role

Sales Engineer responsible for sales activities on the company's products and services, mainly in the semiconductor segment, with partial involvement in marine and oil & gas industries. The role focuses on driving revenue growth from existing customers and soliciting new customers and accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, develop and follow up on opportunities in the market
• Formulate sales strategies and action plans to achieve monthly and annual sales targets
• Provide market intelligence on customer activities, competition and sales forecasts to direct supervisor
• Serve as the main contact point for customers to fulfil their business needs, maintaining and managing key customer relationships
• Coordinate relevant business and service activities, ensuring smooth execution and customer experience
• Keep abreast of latest changes, including customer business updates and acquiring relevant knowledge on competitor products and markets
• Prepare costings and quotations and submit quotations to customers
• Follow up on customer queries after quotations submitted
• Assist in materials sourcing and purchasing
• Provide frequent visits to existing and new customers and furnish weekly sales reports to Superior on sales pipelines and new sales opportunities
• Laise with new acquired customer on account registration and set-up.

About you

• Diploma/Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• Good written and verbal communication in English
• Able to use Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Independent, self-starter, team player, eager learner, initiative, respectful and responsive
• Possess good electrical knowledge
• Able to attend site visits and assist in installations of products when needed
• Possess Class 3 driving license
• Experience in the semiconductor front end and facility segments or industrial sectors is an added advantage
• Preferrable 2-year experience in Semicon industry
• Fresh graduates are welcomed
