Sales Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Sales Engineer to join our team in Granite Falls, NC. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in mechanical systems, conveyors, or industrial automation combined with experience in technical sales or applications engineering. This role requires the ability to interpret engineering drawings and customer specifications, prepare detailed quotes and proposals, and effectively communicate with clients and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers to understand their technical requirements and provide tailored solutions.
• Interpret engineering drawings, system layouts, and customer specifications to develop accurate proposals.
• Prepare and deliver quotes, proposals, and technical documentation in a timely manner.
• Work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
• Utilize AutoCAD for layout review and minor edits as needed.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation using Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
• Manage multiple projects efficiently while meeting deadlines and customer expectations.
• Provide technical support and problem-solving assistance to customers and internal teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, conveyors, or industrial automation.
• Experience in technical sales, applications engineering, or sales engineering.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, system layouts, and customer specifications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (costing, estimating), Word, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD for layout review and minor edits.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
• Experience preparing quotes, proposals, and technical documentation.
