Sales Engineer – Data Center & M&E Solutions

About the role

JOYRUN is seeking a motivated Sales Engineer to develop new business opportunities in the fast-growing data center and mission-critical infrastructure market across Malaysia and Southeast Asia. You will promote JOYRUN's engineering solutions and services, build relationships with industry partners, and identify upcoming data center projects from early stage through contract award.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new customers and business opportunities within the data center, M&E and critical infrastructure sectors
• Build and maintain relationships with data center owners, main contractors, M&E contractors, consultants, equipment suppliers and other industry partners
• Promote JOYRUN's engineering solutions and services, including Data Center Testing & Commissioning, Electrical Testing, UPS and Critical Power Systems, HVAC / Cooling System Testing & Commissioning, Load Bank Testing, and Data Center Operation & Maintenance
• Identify upcoming data center projects and follow opportunities from early project stage through tender, quotation, negotiation and contract award
• Understand customer technical requirements and coordinate with the engineering team to prepare suitable technical and commercial proposals
• Prepare quotations, proposals, presentations and tender submissions
• Conduct customer visits, presentations and technical discussions. Maintain sales pipelines, customer databases and project opportunity reports.
• Follow up quotations and negotiate commercial terms with customers.
• Work closely with the Malaysia and regional teams to achieve sales targets.

About you

• We are looking for a motivated Sales Engineer who is fluent in Mandarin to join our team.
• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, M&E Engineering, Business, or related field
• Preferably 2–5 years of experience in technical sales, engineering sales or business development
• Experience in data centers, M&E contractors, electrical testing & commissioning, UPS / critical power, switchgear/transformer / busbar, HVAC / cooling systems, generator systems, load banks, or facility management/data center O&M is advantageous
• Existing relationships with data center owners, main contractors, M&E contractors, consultants or equipment vendors highly advantageous
• Good communication, presentation and negotiation skills
• Able to communicate effectively in English and Mandarin; Bahasa Malaysia is an advantage
• Self-motivated, target-driven and comfortable developing new customers
• Willing to travel for customer meetings and project development within Malaysia and Southeast Asia
• Strong industry connections highly encouraged
