Sales Engineer / Executive

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Develop new business opportunities within the E&E industry across Northern Peninsular Malaysia.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers, engineers, procurement teams, decision-makers and industry partners.

• Identify customers’ business and operational needs, then work with internal teams to recommend suitable solutions.

• Conduct customer visits, sales presentations, product introductions and commercial discussions.

• Manage the sales journey from initial prospecting and quotation through negotiation and closing.

• Monitor industry developments, customer investments, competitor activities and emerging opportunities.

• Maintain an organised sales pipeline and provide regular updates on customer activities and market opportunities.

• Coordinate with colleagues in sales, technical support, operations and management to serve customers effectively.

• Represent the company at exhibitions, networking events and other industry activities when required.

• Attend meetings, training and company activities at our Selangor office when necessary.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Previous sales, business development, account management or customer-facing experience in the E&E, semiconductor, electronics manufacturing or a related industry.

• Familiarity with the E&E ecosystem in Northern Malaysia will be a strong advantage.

• An engineering degree is not mandatory but would be an added advantage. Candidates with business, marketing, science, technology or other relevant backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

• Able to communicate professionally in English and Mandarin, as the role requires regular communication with Mandarin-speaking customers and business partners.

• Bahasa Malaysia proficiency is an added advantage.

• Confident in meeting new people, starting conversations and developing long-term business relationships.

• Curious about technology and willing to learn about technical products and customer applications.

• Self-motivated, resourceful and comfortable managing a regional territory independently.

• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation and follow-up skills.

• Ideally based in or near Penang. Candidates based in Klang Valley are welcome but must be ready to travel regularly within Northern Peninsular Malaysia and attend meetings in Selangor when required.

• Possesses a valid driving licence and has access to reliable transportation.

• Fresh or early-career candidates with relevant E&E industry exposure, strong potential and the right attitude may also be considered.
