Key Responsibilities

• Technical Consultation: Advise structural engineers, architects, and procurement teams on the right steel grades, dimensions, and specifications for construction or manufacturing projects.
• Lead Generation & Client Visits: Source and visit client sites, fabrication units, and infrastructure projects to pitch steel inventories or custom solutions.
• Proposal & Estimation: Review blueprints or technical drawings, calculate material requirements, and draft cost estimates or commercial tenders.
• Cross-functional Coordination: Work with logistics, plant production, and quality assurance teams to ensure correct dispatch, test certificates (MTC), and timely site deliveries.
• Market Mapping: Track competitor pricing, raw material cost fluctuations, and upcoming regional infrastructure or industrial projects.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, or Civil Engineering (or equivalent technical background).
• Experience: 2 to 6 years of B2B technical sales experience in steel, metal tubes, heavy engineering, or industrial manufacturing.
• Technical Competence: Deep understanding of steel properties, standards (IS/ASTM/EN), and fabrication or welding processes.
• Soft Skills: Strong negotiation, local market networking, and communication skills to explain technical specs to non-technical buyers
