Sales Engineer | Engineering / Lift & Escalator

About the role

This role involves managing customer enquiries and recommending suitable repair and replacement solutions, conducting site surveys, and coordinating with technical teams to ensure smooth project execution.

Key responsibilities

• Manage customer enquiries and recommend suitable repair and replacement solutions
• Conduct site surveys and coordinate with technical teams
• Prepare cost estimates, quotations and technical proposals
• Present proposals, negotiate pricing and follow up to secure sales orders
• Develop and maintain relationships with customers, building owners and managing agents
• Coordinate with engineering, operations and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution
• Identify new business opportunities and achieve sales targets
• Monitor sales pipelines, quotations and outstanding payments

About you

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Electronics, Sales & Marketing or related fields
• Relevant experience in technical sales or business development, preferably in the lift, engineering, building systems or manufacturing industry
• Good technical understanding and commercial awareness
• Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills
• Able to manage multiple customer enquiries and meet deadlines
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; SAP/ERP knowledge is an advantage
• Self-motivated, customer-oriented and able to work independently
