SALES ESTIMATOR FOR ELECTRICAL

About the role

GOTESCO MARKETING, INC. is seeking a Sales Estimator for Electrical to join our dynamic team in Sampaloc, Manila City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in our business engaging in sales of electrical controllers and other electrical applications and estimating operations. As a Sales Estimator for Electrical, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, quotations and proposals for various clients projects. This role is integral to our sales process, ensuring that projects are priced competitively whilst maintaining profitability and meeting our clients' budgetary expectations. You will work closely with our sales team, project managers and clients to deliver precise estimating services that drive business growth and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for electrical building projects based on project specifications, blueprints and scope of work
• Review project drawings, specifications and technical documents to identify all materials, labour and equipment requirements
• Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing and accurate budgeting
• Prepare professional quotations and proposals for clients, ensuring clarity and completeness in all documentation
• Perform quantity take-offs and material calculations for electrical systems, wiring, fixtures and related components
• Analyze project costs and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety standards
• Maintain accurate estimating records and documentation for project tracking and historical reference
• Communicate with clients, sales representatives and project teams to clarify project requirements and address estimating questions
• Stay updated on current material costs, labour rates and industry standards to maintain estimate accuracy
• Support the sales team in bid preparation and client presentations with detailed cost breakdowns

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Sales Estimator or Cost Estimator in the electrical industry, with a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, materials and installation methods used in construction projects
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, technical drawings and construction specifications
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills with the ability to perform accurate calculations and quantity take-offs
• Experience with estimating software and tools, or willingness to learn industry-standard estimation programmes
• Familiarity with current material costs, labour rates and industry pricing standards in the Philippines construction market
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all estimating work
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients, suppliers and internal teams
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously whilst maintaining deadlines
• Professional certification in construction estimating or electrical knowledge is advantageous
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and basic computer literacy
