Sales Executive

About the role

Chateau on the Park Christchurch – a DoubleTree by Hilton is looking for a Sales Executive who appreciates the impact of both local and global travel and understands the reason we are here, to delight our guests and clients. The candidate will work well under pressure, have strong organisation skills and be proficient in using a CRM.

Key responsibilities

• New account acquisition
• Complete RFP's in a timely manner
• Maintain and strengthen relationships with clients and develop an understanding of their needs and requirements and provide solutions to match in order to convert the business
• Assist the wider Commercial team entertain clients and agents as necessary
• Conduct tours of inspections of the hotel with potential clients
• Assist with Sales updates to clients
• Ensure all reports are produced as requested by Management
• Collate market intelligence, including market trends, competitor shifts and changing market conditions
• Research potential opportunities
• Update and maintain accurate account profiles in the database systems e.g. Delphi

About you

• Self-motivated
• Naturally energetic
• Excellent communicator
• Team player
• Advanced computer skills
• Flexibility with hours as some hosting will be required
• Excellent command of written and spoken English
• Able to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods
• Full New Zealand Driver's License
• Flexibility to host outside of normal business hours (including weekends)
• Two years in a similar role, preferably within a hotel chain environment (advantageous)
