What they need
Very Displays is looking for a friendly, organised and proactive Sales Executive to join our team.
This is an account management role, ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, staying organised and making sure customers receive a great experience. You’ll be given a portfolio of existing customer accounts to look after, helping to develop those relationships and ensuring their needs are understood and met.
While there will be a commercial element to the role, this isn't a traditional high-pressure sales position. The focus is on looking after customers, building trust, understanding their requirements and identifying opportunities to support them further.
The Role
As a Sales Executive, you'll become a key point of contact for a number of Very Displays customers. You'll build strong day-to-day relationships with your accounts, understand how they work and make sure they're receiving the right products and service from us.
You'll work closely with our internal teams to manage customer requirements from initial enquiry through to delivery, while gradually developing your confidence and commercial understanding.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Looking after a portfolio of existing customer accounts and building positive, long-term relationships.
- Acting as a key point of contact for customers and responding to their questions and requests.
- Understanding each customer's needs, preferences and requirements.
- Managing enquiries, quotes and orders through to completion.
- Keeping customers updated and ensuring they receive a consistently high level of service.
- Working closely with operations and other internal teams to deliver for customers.
- Regularly checking in with customers and making sure we're meeting their expectations.
- Keeping accurate records of customer activity, conversations and opportunities.
- Identifying when a customer may need additional products or services and passing those opportunities on appropriately.
- Helping to grow existing accounts by understanding what customers need, rather than through cold or aggressive selling.
- Learning about our products, services and industry so you can confidently advise customers.
What we're looking for
You might be a good fit if you:
- Are confident and friendly when communicating with people.
- Enjoy building relationships and getting to know customers.
- Are organised and good at keeping on top of different tasks.
- Have a proactive, helpful approach and don't wait to be asked to solve a problem.
- Are comfortable speaking to customers over the phone, by email and in person.
- Have good attention to detail.
- Are commercially aware and interested in understanding how businesses work.
- Can manage your time and prioritise when things get busy.
- Are keen to learn and develop within a growing business.
- Have a positive, can-do attitude and enjoy being part of a team.
What you'll learn
This role is designed to give someone at the beginning of their career a strong foundation in account management, customer service and commercial business skills.
You'll learn how to:
- Manage and develop customer relationships.
- Understand customer requirements and provide solutions.
- Manage quotes, orders and projects.
- Work effectively with different teams within a business.
- Spot opportunities within existing customer accounts.
- Build commercial confidence and product knowledge.
- Develop your communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
There will be plenty of support and training along the way, with the opportunity to take on more responsibility as your experience and confidence grow.
Why join Very Displays?
You'll be joining a team where your development matters. This is an opportunity to build a career in account management and sales without needing years of previous experience.
If you're personable, organised and enjoy working with people, we'd love to hear from you.
