  • Review existing customer accounts and recommend appropriate credit-control action where required.

Orders & Invoicing

  • Post sales orders and issue customer invoices accurately and promptly.
  • Process direct orders by posting purchase orders and creating the corresponding sales orders.
  • Process customer returns and ensure accounts are adjusted correctly.
  • Raise manual credit notes following the appropriate internal approval process.
  • Work closely with Sales and Order Processing to release or hold orders based on customer account status.

Reporting & Debt Recovery

  • Issue customer statements on a fortnightly basis.
  • Manage automated payment reminders through Power Automate.
  • Escalate overdue accounts for further recovery action where appropriate.
  • Refer qualifying overdue debts to external legal or debt-recovery providers.
  • Process debt claims and correspondence received from liquidators accurately and efficiently.

Requirements

We are looking for someone who is organised, commercially aware and confident dealing with customers and internal stakeholders.

You will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in credit control, sales ledger or accounts receivable.
  • Good understanding of credit control and debt-recovery processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills.
  • Confidence dealing with customers regarding overdue payments.
  • The ability to manage your own workload and prioritise effectively.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Good Excel and general IT skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with Sales and other departments.

Experience using CreditSafe, Power Automate or an ERP/accounting system would be advantageous, but training can be provided for the right candidate.
