About the Opportunity

A newly established trading company in Dubai is seeking a Sales Manager to develop its lighting business across the UAE and wider GCC.

The company is an associate of a well-established Dubai-based fitout and joinery contractor with 25 years in the UAE market. That backing gives the business something most start-ups do not have: an existing reputation, live project relationships, and a direct line into the fitout projects where lighting is specified and bought.

Our product range covers the lighting requirements of turnkey fitout and interior projects, including:

• Architectural and decorative lighting
• Downlights, spotlights, track and linear profile lighting
• LED panels, strips, drivers, and power supplies
• Facade, landscape, and exterior lighting
• Emergency and exit lighting
• Lighting control and dimming systems

Our customers are fitout contractors, electrical and MEP subcontractors, lighting designers, interior design consultants, architects, developers, and facility management companies.

What You Will Do

• Grow sales of the lighting range across fitout, interiors, and construction projects in the UAE and GCC
• Build and maintain relationships with contractors, consultants, lighting designers, and developers
• Drive product specification at the design stage with consultants and designers, ahead of tender
• Prepare quotations against BOQs, drawings, and lighting specifications, and follow through to order and delivery
• Coordinate samples, mock-ups, and technical submittals for client approval
• Work with suppliers and principals on pricing, lead times, and product selection
• Track project pipelines and tender activity to identify opportunities early
• Convert relationships from the associate fitout and joinery company into lighting business
• Meet agreed sales targets and report pipeline and forecasts to management

What You Bring

Essential

• 5–8 years of B2B sales experience in lighting, LED products, or electrical materials
• Solid product knowledge across LED lighting — lumens, colour temperature, CRI, beam angles, IP ratings, dimming protocols
• Understanding of how lighting is specified and procured on a fitout or interiors project
• Ability to read drawings, BOQs, and lighting layouts, and quote accurately against them
• Existing relationships with contractors, consultants, or designers in the region
• Excellent English communication and presentation skills
• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Business, or a related discipline

Preferred

• Experience in the UAE or GCC market specifically
• Working knowledge of DIALux or Relux for lighting calculations
• Familiarity with local product approval requirements — Emirates Quality Mark, DEWA approvals, Civil Defence approval for emergency lighting
• Experience with lighting control systems such as DALI or Casambi
• Valid UAE driving licence
