Sales Operations Analyst

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze sales performance, customer trends, and product movement across retail accounts.
• Develop and maintain recurring reports, dashboards, scorecards, and KPIs for sales leadership.
• Utilize advanced Excel skills to manipulate large datasets, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations.
• Support forecasting, demand planning, promotional analysis, and inventory optimization initiatives.
• Monitor retailer sales data, POS reporting, and syndicated data sources to identify risks and opportunities.
• Partner with Key Account Managers to evaluate customer performance and profitability.
• Conduct ad hoc analysis on pricing, promotions, distribution, and product performance.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity across ERP, CRM, and reporting systems.
• Assist with annual planning, budgeting, and sales forecasting processes.
• Present findings and recommendations to cross-functional teams and leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain, Marketing, Analytics, or a related field .
• 2+ years of Sales Operations, Sales Analytics, Business Analytics, or related experience within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel , including:
• Pivot Tables
• VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP
• Power Query
• Complex formulas
• Data analysis and reporting
• Experience supporting sales teams and retailer relationships.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with large retail accounts such as Walmart, Target, Costco, Sam's Club, Kroger, Albertsons, or Amazon.
• Exposure to syndicated data platforms such as Circana (IRI), NielsenIQ, or SPINS .
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Salesforce, or ERP systems.
• Knowledge of retail mathematics, promotional effectiveness, and category management.
• Advanced reporting and dashboard development experience.
