Job Summary

Harry Katz Carpet One Floor & Home, is seeking a detail-oriented Sales Order Processing Associate to support its flooring sales operations. The position involves processing customer orders, verifying product details, pricing and quantities, updating order information, and maintaining accurate sales documentation to ensure orders are handled efficiently.

The successful candidate will work closely with the sales team and other departments to resolve order discrepancies, track order progress, and ensure customer and product information is accurate. Previous experience in order processing, data entry, or administrative support is preferred, along with strong computer skills, attention to detail, and organizational abilities. The ideal candidate will help maintain smooth daily operations and support a positive customer purchasing experience.

Responsibilities

• Receive, review, and process flooring sales orders accurately and promptly.
• Verify product specifications, quantities, pricing, and customer information before processing orders.
• Enter and update sales order details in the company’s systems.
• Maintain organized records of customer orders, product selections, and sales transactions.
• Monitor order progress and update order statuses as necessary.
• Coordinate with the sales team to clarify order details and resolve discrepancies.
• Communicate with relevant departments to ensure order information is complete and accurate.
• Identify and correct data entry errors, missing information, and inconsistencies in order documentation.
• Assist with order-related customer inquiries and provide updates when needed.
• Prepare order reports, spreadsheets, and supporting documentation as required.
• Maintain confidentiality when handling customer and business information.
• Support daily sales operations by ensuring orders are documented and processed efficiently.

Requirements

• Previous experience in order processing, data entry, sales support, or administrative operations preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, email, spreadsheets, and order management systems.
• Strong attention to detail when reviewing customer orders, product descriptions, pricing, and quantities.
• Ability to process sales orders accurately, maintain organized records, and meet deadlines.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple orders and tasks.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to coordinate with sales staff, customers, and other departments.
