About the role

We are seeking a Sales Penjualan (Sales Assistant) to join PT. XINWANG FOOD INDONESIA in Sukoharjo, Central Java. This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic retail and consumer products environment. As a Sales Assistant, you will play a crucial role in driving sales, engaging with customers, and representing our brand values. This position is essential to our retail operations and directly contributes to our business growth and customer satisfaction objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with product selection and answering inquiries about food and consumer products
• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale systems
• Maintain knowledge of current products, promotions, and pricing to effectively communicate with customers
• Stock and organise shelves, ensuring products are displayed attractively and clearly priced
• Monitor inventory levels and report stock shortages to management
• Handle customer complaints professionally and work towards satisfactory resolutions
• Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming retail environment in accordance with company standards
• Achieve individual and team sales targets through proactive engagement and product recommendations
• Support promotional activities and special events as required

What we're looking for

• Previous experience working in a retail or sales environment is preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse customers
• Friendly, outgoing personality with a genuine desire to help customers
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow management direction
• Basic numeracy skills and comfort with handling cash and point-of-sale systems
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry products, and perform repetitive tasks
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation
• Reliability and punctuality with the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays as required
• Fluency in Indonesian language; additional languages are advantageous
