About Performance Local

Performance Local is a local SEO and digital marketing agency in Pompton Lakes, NJ. We help small, owner-operated service businesses (plumbers, roofers, electricians, tree services) get verified and found on Google. We are a newer company with a small team in a brand-new office. We promote from within, and we are adding to our front room steadily over the next six months.

The role

You take inbound calls from business owners who already want to talk to us. There is no cold calling and no list to dial. Every conversation starts with someone who reached out. Your job is to find out where their business stands online, explain our digital marketing services, sign up the ones who are a fit, and book their follow-up appointment with our upsell team. This is still sales. You will hear objections, and a large share of your pay is commission. People who do well here listen first, explain things plainly, and ask for the sale.

Take warm inbound calls from small business owners throughout the day

Ask questions to understand their business and how they show up online today

Explain our digital marketing services in plain language

Answer questions, handle objections, and close the sale

What we're looking for

Required

Able to work on-site in Pompton Lakes, NJ, Monday to Friday, 8:45 AM to 6:00 PM

On time every day. The shift starts at 8:45 AM and lateness is not tolerated

Comfortable on the phone for a full shift

Able to type notes into a CRM while on a call Preferred

Previous sales experience, especially closing over the phone

Experience selling to small business owners or contractors CRM experience (GoHighLevel, HubSpot, Salesforce or similar) You do not need a background in SEO or marketing. Paid training covers the product and the call process.

Pay and benefits

Total earnings: $70,000 to $130,000 per year, base plus commission
