A Sales Representative opportunity exists in this well-established business.  The successful applicant will work with a dynamic team highly skilled in the supply of technical electrical and data products to Industries and Contractors throughout the Auckland region.

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated electrical Sales Representative to join our team based in Penrose, Auckland.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrical industry professional who has a strong understanding of the electrical market and a proven ability to develop and maintain successful customer relationships.

The successful candidate will play an important role in growing our customer base, developing new business opportunities and strengthening relationships with existing customers. You will be responsible for representing the business professionally in the market and delivering a high level of service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing customers.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities within the electrical industry.
• Regularly visit customers to understand their business requirements and provide appropriate product solutions.
• Prepare and follow up quotations and sales opportunities.
• Provide professional product advice and technical support where required.
• Maintain a strong understanding of electrical products, market conditions and industry trends.
• Work closely with the branch and internal sales teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
• Achieve agreed sales and business development objectives.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• Previous experience within the electrical industry.
• Previous experience in an electrical sales, account management or sales representative position.
• Strong knowledge of electrical products and the electrical trade.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain customer relationships.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• A strong understanding of customer service and business development.
• The ability to work independently while also contributing positively to a team environment.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• A professional and positive approach to representing the business.
• A full New Zealand driver's licence.
