OptiGrid Pvt Ltd is expanding its telecom and fiber optic infrastructure services. We are looking for a hands-on, skilled Last Mile Network Field Technician to manage last-mile fiber deployments, subscriber installations, and maintenance operations. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring seamless, high-speed fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) connectivity for end-users, managing everything from drop-cable laying to final ONT/router configuration.

Key Responsibilities

• Last-Mile Deployment & Splicing: Execute last-mile fiber optic cable pulling, aerial/underground routing, and precision fusion splicing for residential and commercial connections.
• Customer Installations: Install subscriber premises equipment (CPE), including ONU/ONT devices, Wi-Fi routers, and set-up local testing to ensure optimal signal strength and bandwidth delivery.
• Testing & Troubleshooting: Use Optical Time Domain Reflectometers (OTDR), optical power meters, and visual fault locators (VFL) to diagnose line attenuation, faults, and splice losses.
• Network Maintenance: Perform scheduled and emergency maintenance on distribution nodes, splitter boxes (FDB/FAT), and drop cables to minimize downtime.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of installation logs, splice reports, node mapping, and service activation sheets.

Candidate Requirements

• Education: ITI, Diploma in Electronics/Telecommunications, or Graduate in any relevant technical stream.
• Experience: 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in last-mile telecom deployment, FTTH installation, or optical network maintenance. (Freshers with relevant technical certification and high aptitude are welcome to apply).
• Technical Skills:
• Hands-on expertise in fiber optic fusion splicing and mechanical splicing.
• Proficiency in handling OTDR, power meters, and cleavers.
• Basic understanding of GPON/EPON architectures, IP networking, and router configurations.
• Field Requirements: Must possess a smartphone, a valid two-wheeler driving license, and a willingness to travel extensively across field sites for installation and troubleshooting.
