The company offers comprehensive solutions including customs brokerage, cargo handling, transportation, and warehousing to clients worldwide, supporting continuous growth and exciting career opportunities.

Position Summary

Asante Logistic Group Inc. is seeking an energetic, ambitious and driven Sales Representative to lead in growing our services in warehousing, material handling, trucking and international logistics. You will bring your experience and knowledge in these areas of our services and you will be the main link between the customer and our operations team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced, motivated sales professional with a solid logistics background who wants to build a long-term career and a strong book of business with a growing company.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

Business Development

  • Prospect and win new customers: manufacturers, distributors, importers, exporters, dealers, auction buyers, importers, shippers and individuals shipping overseas.
  • Build and manage a pipeline through cold calls, referrals, networking, online channels and industry events.
  • Meet and exceed monthly and annual sales and shipment-volume targets.

Quoting and Account Management

  • Prepare accurate, competitive quotes for warehouse, material handling, trucking, RoRo, container (FCL / LCL) and consolidated shipments, including ocean freight, inland transport, port and handling charges.
  • Advise customers on the best shipping method, routes, transit times, cost and cargo requirements.
  • Follow up on quotes, negotiate terms, and close deals.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing customers to generate repeat business and referrals.

Coordination and Customer Service

  • Work closely with operations, the warehouse, documentation, customs and trucking teams to ensure shipments are booked, loaded and delivered on schedule.
  • Support customers with export documentation: bills of lading, invoices, titles and export declarations.
  • Keep customers updated on shipment status, and resolve delays, damages and complaints quickly.
  • Liaise with shipping lines, carriers, agents and overseas partners to secure space and competitive rates.

Market Intelligence and Reporting

  • Track market rates, competitor offers and trade trends across warehousing, material handling, trucking and international logistics, including destination requirements for overseas shipments (for example West Africa, Caribbean and other overseas markets).
  • Record all leads, quotes and customer activity in the CRM and report regularly on sales performance for each service line.
  • Represent the company professionally in person, by phone, by email and on social media.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of sales or business development experience in logistics, warehousing, material handling, trucking, freight forwarding or a related field.
  • Knowledge of warehousing, material handling, trucking or international logistics (such as RoRo and container shipping, FCL / LCL) is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Eager to learn, competitive and self-motivated, with a strong desire to grow in sales.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills, in person, by phone and in writing.
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office, email, CRM tools and quoting systems; quick to adopt new technology.
  • Organized, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple customers and deadlines.
  • Valid driver’s licence and legal eligibility to work in Canada.

Assets

  • College or university education in logistics, supply chain, international trade or business.
  • Existing network of contacts in shipping, vehicle export or the auto trade.
  • Knowledge of customs regulations and export requirements.
  • Additional languages, especially French, or languages relevant to our overseas markets.

What We Offer

  • Base salary of $52,000–$55,000 per year, depending on experience, plus uncapped commission on gross profit.
  • On-target earnings (OTE) of $75,000–$85,000 at target, $90,000–$100,000+ at 120% of target, and $100,000+ for top performers.
  • Training, mentoring and a clear path for advancement in a growing logistics group.
  • Benefits - health and dental, and pension plans.
