Sales Representative

National Asphalt is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Representative to join our team based at the Cliffdale Asphalt Plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, growing market share, and maintaining strong customer relationships within the KwaZulu-Natal region.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Identify new business opportunities and close sales deals
• Develop meaningful relationships with customers to encourage trust and loyalty
• Follow up on cold and warm leads to further the sales process
• Understand and demonstrate the product or service to the customer
• Meet sales goals as set by management
• Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
• Conduct market research to stay on top of trends and competitor activities
• Create and process customer quotations timeously
• Process purchase orders for materials sourced externally

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERTISE REQUIRED:

• Grade 12 (Matric).
• Relevant qualification in Sales, Marketing, Business Management or a related field will be advantageous.
• Minimum of 5-10 years' sales experience, preferably within the construction, asphalt, aggregates, or related industries.
• Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Valid Code 08 driver's licence and willingness to travel within KwaZulu-Natal.
• General understanding of Asphalt would be advantageous but not absolutely necessary
