Sales Rep – Government Sector (Commission Only)

ABOUT US

GECU (Government Employees Credit Union) is a member of the Ownisha

cooperative group. We help government employees get financial products

that suit their needs.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for driven, self-motivated people to sell our financial

products to government employees. You will go out to government

departments and facilities, meet staff face to face, and help them

choose the right products. You work at your own pace and your earnings

are uncapped – the more you sell, the more you earn.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Set up appointments at government departments, schools, clinics,

hospitals and other government facilities

• Do presentations to groups of government employees

• Meet employees one-on-one to explain products and sign up clients

• Complete application forms and collect the required documents

• Follow up on leads and referrals to grow your own client base

• Keep accurate records of your appointments and sales

WHAT YOU NEED

• Matric

• Confidence to speak to groups and do presentations

• Good communication skills

• Self-discipline and a strong desire to succeed

ADVANTAGEOUS

• Sales experience, especially in financial services or insurance

• Experience in the government market or with PERSAL deductions

• Own transport and a valid driver's licence

• RE5 or FAIS credits
