Duties

• Actively engage with customers in retail or on-route settings to understand their needs and recommend suitable products or services
• Conduct upselling by identifying opportunities to enhance customer purchases and maximize sales potential
• Manage route driving responsibilities, ensuring timely delivery of products while adhering to safety and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations
• Handle pricing negotiations accurately, providing transparent information to clients and ensuring profitable transactions
• Build strong customer relationships through effective communication, personalized service, and follow-up interactions
• Perform heavy lifting and safe lifting practices when handling merchandise or equipment during deliveries or store merchandising tasks
• Maintain organized records of sales activities, route schedules, and client interactions for seamless operations

Skills

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect confidently with diverse clients
• Strong understanding of pricing strategies and the ability to apply basic math for transactions and route calculations
• Experience in retail store environments or customer service roles that emphasize client relationship building
• Knowledge of commercial driving, including route driving, automobile transportation, and heavy vehicle operation (such as commercial trucks)
• Familiarity with DOT regulations to ensure compliance during transportation activities
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper lifting practices
• Organizational skills to manage schedules, merchandising setups, and client documentation effectively
• Proficiency in sales techniques, including upselling and cross-selling strategies to maximize revenue opportunities
