Sales Supervisor

Duties

• Supervise and motivate the retail sales team to achieve sales goals and deliver outstanding customer service.
• Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS (Point of Sale) system management.
• Conduct employee orientation, training, and ongoing development to enhance team performance and product knowledge.
• Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, merchandising, and pricing strategies to maximize sales opportunities.
• Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints efficiently, and ensure a positive shopping experience.
• Assist with recruiting efforts by interviewing candidates and participating in hiring decisions.
• Maintain accurate records of payroll, sales reports, bookkeeping, and operational documentation.

Requirements

• Proven supervisory experience within the retail industry, with strong leadership skills in managing sales teams.
• Excellent communication skills in multiple languages; bilingual abilities are highly desirable.
• Demonstrated proficiency in negotiation, employee orientation, interviewing, and recruiting techniques.
• Knowledge of POS systems, inventory management software, cash handling procedures, and retail math fundamentals.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for pricing, budgeting, and financial reporting.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively across shift management and operational tasks.
• Experience with retail store product knowledge, merchandising, stocking, and inventory control practices.
• Familiarity with payroll processing, bookkeeping tasks, purchasing procedures, and operational management principles.
• Exceptional customer service skills combined with phone etiquette and managerial communication expertise.
• Prior assistant manager or managerial experience in retail settings is preferred; supervising experience is essential.
• Multilingual or bilingual capabilities will enhance communication with diverse customer bases.
