The Sales Support Engineer will play a critical role in providing technical expertise and support to our sales team, ensuring successful product demonstrations, pre-sales consultations, and post-sales support. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical proficiency, excellent communication skills, and a customer-centric mindset.

Duties & Responsibilities

Commercial & Technical Support

• Interpret and transform customer needs into comprehensive solution proposals
• Drive competitive solution development, cost optimization, and scoping strategy
• Coordinate production planning and delivery schedules
• Collaborate with internal technical/Engineering teams to ensure solution accuracy and feasibility
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, presentation materials and marketing collateral for sales efforts

Client Engagement & Communication

• Serve as a technical liaison between client, and the production.
• Address and resolve customer queries or technical concerns efficiently
• Maintain professionalism in all client-facing interactions and communications
• Build strong relationships with key customer stakeholders

Operational Support

• Monitor and track order delivery timelines to ensure prompt fulfilments
• Support the Sales team in day-to-day customer service activities and operational coordination.
• Maintain accurate customer records, order information and databases
• Stay updated on product and service offerings to support client inquiries
• Assist in preparing periodic reports for management review

 Other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by Line Manager or the Management.

Requirements

• At least diploma in Engineering related field. Other fields will be considered as well.

• 2 to 5 years of proven experience in a technical sales or engineering support, preferably in construction industry.

• Strong understanding of engineering technical concepts and the ability to communicate them effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Willingness to travel occasionally for customer meetings and other locations.

• Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and internal stakeholders.

• Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales support tools.

• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, customer-focused role.
