Sales Support Representative

Position Summary:

The Sales Support Representative works closely with the Sales Team to manage and develop existing customer accounts and support sales growth. This position focuses on marketing and sales support while helping manage the front-end sales process. The role is responsible for building long-term customer relationships by providing exceptional support and developing a strong understanding of the company, the aviation industry, and our product capabilities. The ideal candidate is interested in using this position as an opportunity to develop their sales experience and grow into a Sales Representative role.

Essential Functions:

• Provide administrative and office support to sales and other functional departments
• Process purchase orders and  customer order changes accurately and timely
• Monitor customer order shipments: provide status updates on ship dates and tracking information to customers
• Build and maintain relationships with customer base by providing excellent customer support and listening to customer requirements and needs
• Accurate and timely responsiveness to all customer communications
• Interact directly with internal departments in support of the customer
• Collaborate with sales  representatives to prepare sales proposals and presentations
• Calculate pricing and develop formal quotations following established processes
• Possess effective time management skills with ability to juggle multiple customers and tasks at one time
• Train Sales Team on ERP and CRM software
• Identify and implement process improvements to streamline sales operations and increase efficiency

• Excellent organization skills with strong attention to detail
• Excellent teamwork skills and a high degree of initiative required
• Excellent communication, both written and verbal
• Effectively problem solve, prioritize, and follow through on assignments and projects
• Work independently and possess a high level of self-motivation and initiative
• Must be proficient with MS Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Experience in ERP/MRP systems preferred
• Experience in CRM or other customer databases preferred

Education, Certifications and Experience:

• High School Diploma
• BA/BS degree in a related business or aerospace field preferred
• 3+ years of experience in office administration preferred
• Sales, Marketing, or Account Management experience preferred

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Working conditions are normal for that of a manufacturing/machine shop/office environment.
