If you’re the one who can talk to just about anyone, enjoys a bit of competition and likes seeing yourself improve at something, sales could be a natural fit.

We’re growing our Chelmsford team and looking for a Sales Trainee who wants to learn the job properly. You’ll get hands-on experience from the beginning, with training, regular coaching and experienced people around you to help you find your feet.

You don’t need a sales background. We’re looking for confidence, curiosity and someone who’s willing to put what they learn into practice.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

You’ll learn sales by getting involved in it.

Speaking with customers and building rapport

Asking questions to understand what they’re looking for

Getting to know different products, services and offers

Explaining suitable options in a clear, natural way

Becoming more confident answering questions and objections

Supporting customer acquisition and campaign goals

Working towards your own goals alongside the wider team

Looking at your results and learning what you can do better next time

The Sales Trainee Candidate

You might suit the role if you’re confident meeting new people, a good listener and comfortable challenging yourself. You’ll need to be reliable, open to feedback and able to work well with the people around you.

There’s More to Learn as You Progress

Once you’ve built a solid understanding of sales, you’ll have the opportunity to learn more about campaign performance, coaching, team development and leadership.
