Job Description — Sales Training Manager

Position: Sales Training Manager

Department: Sales & Business Development

Campaign: US Outbound Digital Marketing Campaign

Location: Lahore, Pakistan

Employment Type: Full-Time (Onsite)

Working Hours: US Business Hours / Night Shift

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Sales Training Manager to lead the training and development function for our outbound US digital marketing sales campaign. The Training Manager will be responsible for preparing new sales agents for cold calling, continuously improving the skills of existing agents, and ensuring the sales team has the knowledge, communication skills, product understanding, and sales techniques required to effectively engage US-based prospects.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in outbound sales training, telesales, cold calling, objection handling, lead qualification, and US-market sales, preferably within a digital marketing, software, IT services, or B2B environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales Training & Onboarding

  • Design and deliver structured training programs for newly hired sales agents.
  • Conduct product, service, campaign, and process training before agents go live.
  • Train agents on digital marketing services, including relevant concepts such as SEO, social media marketing, website development, and other services offered by the company.
  • Develop training schedules, lesson plans, presentations, exercises, roleplays, and assessments.
  • Ensure new agents meet defined competency standards before being moved to the live floor.

2. Sales Skills Development

  • Train agents on outbound prospecting and cold-calling techniques.
  • Develop agents' communication, confidence, articulation, and conversational skills.
  • Train agents on discovery questions, lead qualification, needs analysis, pitching, and appointment setting.
  • Conduct extensive objection-handling training for common US-market objections.
  • Train agents on effective opening statements, value propositions, rebuttals, closing techniques, and call-to-action strategies.
  • Coach agents on building rapport with US prospects while maintaining a professional and consultative approach.

3. Call Quality & Performance Improvement

  • Conduct regular call listening and quality assessments.
  • Identify individual and team-level performance gaps.
  • Provide structured coaching based on actual call performance.
  • Work closely with Sales Closers and Team Leads to identify recurring training requirements.
  • Develop targeted refresher training for agents struggling with conversion, objection handling, communication, or product knowledge.
  • Monitor the impact of training on sales performance and continuously improve training methods.

4. Training Assessments

  • Develop written, verbal, roleplay, and practical assessments.
  • Conduct certification or readiness assessments before agents go live.
  • Maintain individual training and assessment records.
  • Establish minimum passing standards for product knowledge, communication, sales process, and objection handling.
  • Recommend additional coaching or retraining where required.

5. Training Material & Curriculum Development

  • Create and maintain training manuals, presentations, call scripts, objection-handling guides, FAQs, quizzes, and roleplay scenarios.
  • Keep training content aligned with campaign objectives, sales processes, and service offerings.
  • Regularly update training materials based on market feedback, campaign changes, and sales performance.
  • Build a structured training curriculum covering product knowledge → communication → sales process → objection handling → roleplay → assessment → floor readiness.

6. Sales & Campaign Alignment

  • Work closely with Sales Management to understand campaign targets and performance expectations.
  • Ensure training directly supports key sales KPIs.
  • Identify training-related causes of poor sales performance and recommend corrective actions.

7. Coaching & Development

  • Conduct one-on-one coaching sessions with underperforming agents.
  • Run group coaching and refresher sessions.
  • Develop improvement plans for agents who consistently fail to meet required sales standards.
  • Identify high-performing agents and help develop them for senior sales responsibilities.
  • Support Team Leads and Sales Closers with coaching techniques and performance-development strategies.

8. Reporting & Training Analytics

  • Maintain accurate training attendance, assessment, certification, and coaching records.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly training performance reports.
  • Track training completion and agent readiness.
  • Analyze the relationship between training performance and sales KPIs.
  • Report training gaps, trends, and recommendations to management.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • 3–5+ years of experience in sales training, telesales, outbound sales, or sales management.
  • Proven experience training outbound sales teams.
  • Experience with US-based sales campaigns strongly preferred.
  • Experience in digital marketing, IT services, SaaS, software, or B2B sales is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of cold calling and outbound sales methodologies.
  • Excellent spoken English with strong pronunciation and communication skills.
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable working US business hours/night shifts.
  • Strong analytical and performance-management skills.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is not simply a classroom trainer. They should understand how an outbound sales floor works and be capable of taking an inexperienced agent from Day 1 training to floor-ready salesperson.

They should be able to listen to a sales call and quickly identify what the agent said, what they should have said, why the prospect objected, and how the agent can improve the next call.

The core objective of this role is simple: build sales agents who can consistently turn outbound conversations with US prospects into qualified opportunities and revenue.

Pay: Up to Rs100,000.00 per month

Experience:

  • Outbound Sales: 2 years (Required)

Location:

  • Lahore (Required)
