Sales/Cashier

We are seeking an energetic, customer-oriented Sales Cum Cashier to join our Bakery Division. The ideal candidate must have prior experience in a similar bakery

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Sales

• Greet customers warmly as they enter and offer prompt, friendly service.
• Assist customers with purchasing decisions by providing detailed information on pastries, cakes, and other bakery items.
• Recommend add-ons, featured items, and daily specials to drive sales.
• Handle customer inquiries, special cake orders, and feedback professionally.

Cashiering & POS Management

• Accurately process customer transactions (cash, credit/debit card, mobile payments) using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
• Issue receipts, refunds, change, or balance due.
• Maintain an accurate cash drawer and ensure all cash movements are reconciled at the end of each shift.
• Balance cash drawers at the end of the shift and prepare daily sales reports.

Merchandising & Inventory Control

• Ensure bakery counters, display cases, and shelves are fully stocked, organized, and visually appealing.
• Monitor product freshness, expiration dates, and apply FIFO standards.
• Track daily wastage and communicate inventory needs/shortages to the supervisor.
• Assist in receiving incoming inventory and label items with accurate price tags.

Store Maintenance & Hygiene

• Adhere strictly to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness in the sales area, display counters, POS station, and customer seating areas (if applicable).
• Wipe down surfaces, sanitize equipment, and maintain a tidy workspace throughout the day.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: Proven experience as a Sales Assistant, Cashier, or Counter Staff in a bakery, cafe, supermarket bakery section.
