About Abelian
Abelian is a Salesforce-focused consulting firm helping businesses and public-sector agencies modernize operations and achieve critical goals. We deliver secure, human-centered solutions in close-knit, agile teams where collaboration and professionalism guide our work.
The opportunity
We're hiring a Salesforce Administrator who communicates clearly, takes ownership of their work, and thrives in collaborative, fast-moving environments. You'll configure and support Salesforce solutions for our clients alongside consultants, developers, and architects.
A growing share of our work involves Salesforce Field Service, so we're especially interested in people who bring field service experience. That can come from working in a field service business, from Field Service projects, or from the Salesforce Field Service Consultant certification.
What you'll do
- Own configuration work: Flows, validation rules, page layouts, record types, Lightning apps, permission sets, reports, and dashboards.
- Configure and support Salesforce Field Service: work types, service territories, operating hours, service resources and skills, scheduling policies, and the Field Service mobile app.
- Partner with consultants and architects to turn business requirements into clean declarative solutions, and flag early when a requirement needs custom development.
- Manage users, profiles, permission set groups, and sharing settings to keep client data secure.
- Handle data work such as imports, exports, cleanup, and migrations using Data Loader or similar tools.
- Test your own work and support user acceptance testing, release preparation, and deployments.
- Participate in team ceremonies: backlog grooming, sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives.
- Document your configuration and create clear user guides and training materials.
- Build rapport with clients by being responsive, professional, and solutions-focused.
What you'll bring (required)
- Hands-on Salesforce administration experience, building and maintaining configuration for real users.
- Strong declarative skills, especially Flow Builder.
- A solid understanding of the Salesforce data model, security and sharing model, and reporting.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and non-technical people.
- Comfort managing multiple tasks and priorities across client projects.
- A growth mindset: you seek feedback, learn quickly, and adapt your approach to deliver outcomes.
Field service experience (strongly preferred)
We'll give strong preference to candidates who bring field service experience in any of these forms. You don't need all three.
- Industry experience: you've worked in or supported a field service business (installation, maintenance, repair, property services, utilities, or similar) and understand dispatching, scheduling, and work orders.
- Project experience: you've helped implement, configure, or support Salesforce Field Service.
- Certification: you hold the Salesforce Field Service Consultant certification or are actively working toward it.
Nice to have
- Salesforce Administrator, Advanced Administrator, or Platform App Builder certification.
- Experience with Service Cloud or Experience Cloud.
- Consulting experience, or experience supporting more than one Salesforce org.
- Familiarity with Agile delivery practices.
- Exposure to release tools such as change sets, DevOps Center, or similar.
How we work
- Agile first: We deliver value in short feedback loops, adapting quickly as client needs evolve.
- Collaboration over silos: Consultants, engineers, and clients operate as one team. We share context, pair often, and celebrate wins together.
- Human-centered: We build solutions with empathy and professionalism, always mindful that behind every system are people relying on it.
- Trusted advisors: We invest in strong client relationships and earn trust by being transparent, dependable, and solutions-focused.
- Continuous learners: We believe mastery is never finished. We embrace curiosity, share what we know, and see every challenge as a chance to grow stronger, individually and together.
