Hours: UK business hours, approximately 09:00–17:00 UK time

Type: Contract, part-time, 30–50 hours per month

The Role

Mokora is looking for an experienced Salesforce Developer / Consultant to support a medium-sized UK energy business of approximately 300 people.

You will be the second Salesforce developer, working directly with the client team to develop, improve and support their Salesforce environment.

Salesforce Sales Cloud supports the full project lifecycle, from sales and forecasting through to post-win revenue tracking, with Power BI used for reporting.

This is a hands-on role requiring someone who can take a business problem from a stakeholder, assess the options and scope the solution and build. You will not be working from fully specified tickets.

Initial Backlog

Salesforce migration: Migrating an acquired entity from Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE onto Salesforce, including object and field mapping, data cleansing, loading, reconciliation and cutover.

Revenue forecasting: Building revenue schedules and time-phased revenue forecasting for entities that currently have none.

Approval and validation: Developing logic for commercial edge cases, including tender approval routing, opportunities over £500k, and won orders that subsequently lose their PO.

System integration: Replacing manual data transfer from a separate asset tracking system into Salesforce with an integration.

Power BI: Supporting reporting using Salesforce data.

Technical Requirements

4+ years of hands-on Salesforce development and configuration, with a strong focus on Sales Cloud.

Experience with Apex, SOQL, Flow and Lightning Web Components.

Salesforce Platform Developer I and Administrator certification, or equivalent demonstrable experience.

Experience migrating data onto Salesforce from another CRM, including mapping, cleansing, loading and reconciliation. This should go beyond simply running Data Loader against a clean file.

Experience with REST/SOAP API integrations.

Strong knowledge of validation rules, approval processes, permission sets and the Salesforce sharing model.

Experience with sandbox strategy, source control and disciplined deployment practices where another developer is working concurrently.

What We're Looking For

You should be able to produce a concise, one-page option paper outlining two or three options, the trade-offs involved and your recommendation, for executives who may need to make decisions within a ten-minute window.

You will also need reliable availability during UK business hours and a stable remote working setup.

Useful, But Not Essential

Sales Cloud Consultant or Data Architect certification.

Experience with revenue schedules, revenue phasing or project revenue forecasting in Salesforce.

Power BI experience.

Energy, subsea, marine, engineering services or asset rental sector experience.

Salesforce experience as part of an acquisition integration.

Contract via Mokora Ltd.

30–50 hours per month, invoiced monthly.

Direct working relationship with the client team.

UK business hours.
