Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer

Role & responsibilities

• Architect and implement SFMC solutions across Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Contact Builder, and Mobile Studio
• Design data models within Contact Builder/Data Extensions, including relational data models and subscriber management
• Build and optimize AMPscript, SSJS, and SQL for personalization, dynamic content, and automations
• Develop and maintain CloudPages for microsites, preference centers, forms, and gated content experiences
• Lead API integrations (REST/SOAP) between SFMC and Salesforce CRM, external systems, and third-party platforms
• Define and enforce coding standards, solution architecture, and best practices across the team
• Own technical delivery: sprint planning, code reviews, and troubleshooting production issues
• Collaborate with campaign/marketing teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Manage data privacy, deliverability, and compliance requirements (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CCPA)
• Guide CI/CD practices, deployment automation, and environment management (sandbox to production)
• Mentor junior/mid-level engineers and conduct technical interviews
• Assess and plan migration paths to SFMC Next (Marketing Cloud Next Generation) and align architecture with Salesforce's evolving platform roadmap
• Evaluate integration of Data Cloud and Einstein/AI-driven capabilities into existing SFMC implementations
• Strong hands-on expertise in AMPscript, SSJS, SQL, HTML/CSS.
• Deep knowledge of Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Email Studio, Contact Builder.
• Experience with SFMC APIs (REST/SOAP), Marketing Cloud Connect, and Salesforce CRM integration.
