Salesforce QA Engineer

Salesforce QA Functional Tester & Automation

• Overall Experience: 4–6 years of experience in Software Quality Engineering.
• Salesforce Experience: 4+ years of hands-on experience in Salesforce manual testing combined with automation Testing.
• Core Competencies: Thorough understanding of business requirement gathering, risk-based test planning, and breaking applications through complex edge cases.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Functional & Core Testing

• Drive End-to-End Functional Testing, Manual Testing, and Regression Testing across Salesforce Clouds (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud).
• Create comprehensive Test Plans and Test Cases for new and existing features, defining structured approaches to test scheduling, execution, and exit criteria.
• Validate that User Story Acceptance Criteria are strictly met to maintain the highest software quality within scheduled sprint timelines.
• Utilize tools like Data Loader for data insertion, updates, and bulk import/export across Salesforce.com Objects.
• Execute Integration testing, Cross-browser testing, Mobile testing, and Localization/Translation testing.
• Actively participate in defect triage meetings with cross-functional development and product management teams.

Automation Testing

• Design, build, and maintain automated test scripts within automated regression suites.
• Copado & Advanced Test Automation: Hands-on experience with Copado Robotic Testing and Copado Automation to build, manage, and scale low-code/cloud-native test automation frameworks.
• CI/CD Pipeline Integration: Integrate automated test suites into continuous integration and continuous deployment ( CI/CD ) pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Copado CI/CD) to ensure automated quality gates run seamlessly with every deployment.
• Leverage programming and scripting languages to write custom test utilities, data generators, or extensions for automated frameworks.
• Perform robust REST-API Testing using tools like Postman or integrated script frameworks.

Agile Execution & Collaboration

• Work seamlessly within an Agile Scrum QA environment, participating effectively in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Demonstrate strong independent leadership in driving complex quality engineering projects from inception to sign-off.
• Maintain flexible and adaptable working styles, including overlapping hours with US time zones for optimal collaboration.
• Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate test results and risk metrics clearly to stakeholders.

Education / Knowledge & Certifications

• Education: Bachelor of Science degree from a four-year college, university, or equivalent.
• Required Certification: Salesforce Administrator Certified.
• Preferred Certifications: Copado Certifications (e.g., Copado Robotic Testing / Copado Administrator) and Automation Testing certifications.
• Independent contributor capable of operating with minimal supervision while maintaining high synergy with distributed engineering teams.
