What they need

Role Overview

As a Salesforce Technical Architect for the Platform Team, you will serve as a trusted technical leader and strategic advisor, playing a pivotal role in the architecture, strategy, and successful delivery of enterprise software solutions. Bridging the gap between complex business needs and robust technical implementations, you will lead solution design across Salesforce multi‑cloud platforms. This high‑impact role involves driving technical excellence, establishing platform governance, designing enterprise integrations, and mentoring engineering peers to bring strategic vision to life from discovery through execution.

About the Environment

This opportunity sits within a dynamic digital innovation consultancy where creativity and collaboration are central to the culture. The team specializes in digital product discovery, design, and delivery, partnering with clients across industries to bring new ideas to life. The environment emphasizes deep focus, high‑impact problem solving, and long‑term partnerships. It is designed to support thoughtful reflection, technical craftsmanship, and meaningful collaboration. You will work alongside strategists, designers, and developers on high‑visibility digital initiatives, shaping the future of digital products and influencing the product lifecycle from strategy through execution.

Responsibilities

  • Architecture and Technical Strategy: Own the architecture and technical strategy of assigned platform solutions, ensuring Salesforce multi‑cloud environments are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with client business objectives.
  • Enterprise Systems Integration: Design and oversee integration architectures connecting Salesforce with back‑end enterprise systems, data warehouses, and middleware using REST and SOAP APIs, event‑driven patterns, and large‑data‑volume strategies.
  • Stakeholder Communication and Alignment: Translate complex business needs into clear technical solutions, architectural roadmaps, and actionable requirements.
  • Governance and Quality Assurance: Define and enforce development standards, data governance, security protocols, and platform limit management.
  • DevOps and Release Management: Establish modern release practices, scratch‑org strategies, automated CI/CD pipelines, and version‑control workflows tailored to Salesforce.
  • Cross‑Functional Leadership: Represent platform engineering in discussions with product strategists, experience designers, and client leadership.
  • Risk Management and Design Reviews: Identify architectural risks, surface blockers, and conduct technical design and code reviews.
  • Mentorship and Team Enablement: Mentor engineers, guide work delegation, and support continuous learning and career growth.

Qualifications

  • Technical Delivery Leadership: 8+ years of experience in software architecture and engineering with a track record of leading complex enterprise platform delivery for complex enterprise platforms from inception through deployment.
  • Extensive Salesforce Expertise: 5+ years architecting and delivering enterprise Salesforce solutions with deep knowledge of declarative capabilities, Apex, Lightning Web Components, and multi‑cloud architectures.
  • Salesforce Certifications: Application Architect, System Architect, or Technical Architect certifications are highly preferred.
  • Integration Architecture: Demonstrated capability to architect complex integrations between Salesforce and external enterprise systems using middleware, event-driven architectures, APIs, and identity/SSO frameworks.
  • Stakeholder Management & Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders, business owners, and C-suite executives.
  • Consultancy & Client Engagement: Experience working within a consultancy or professional services environment, demonstrating the ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced client settings.
  • Modern Engineering & DevOps Practices: Strong proficiency with Salesforce DX, automated testing, Git, and modern CI/CD release pipelines.
  • Mentorship & Team Development: A strong track record of mentoring engineers, fostering team growth, and leading through influence and technical craftsmanship.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent professional technical experience.
