Job Summary
The Salesforce Technical Manager will bridge strategic solution design, enterprise delivery leadership, and hands-on technical management. This role serves as a key technical leader overseeing cross-functional engineering teams to design, build, and deploy scalable, enterprise-grade multi-cloud Salesforce solutions (Sales, Service, Experience/Community, Data Cloud, and AI).
You will manage end-to-end technical execution, enforce strict technical governance, architect secure integrations with legacy/third-party systems, drive DevOps maturity, and directly mentor development teams to deliver zero-defect implementations aligned with client goals.
Key Responsibilities
1. Architecture, Multi-Cloud & Solution Design
- Blueprint and architect robust, end-to-end multi-cloud Salesforce solutions (Sales, Service, Experience/Community, and Data Cloud) aligned with enterprise business requirements.
- Lead the technology selection, application design, configuration, and custom component design for high-performance platform execution.
- Evaluate AI-driven features (Data Cloud, Agentforce) and modern platform capabilities to design future-ready systems.
2. Enterprise Integration & Data Management
- Architect and oversee programmatic integration topologies connecting Salesforce to external platforms, legacy ERPs (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and third-party middleware (MuleSoft, Boomi, Boomi, CTI).
- Direct secure API orchestration, Single Sign-On (SSO), OAuth, JWT, and large-scale data migrations.
- Oversee large data volume (LDV) strategies, sharing models, and privacy controls across multi-org environments.
3. Technical Team Leadership & Mentorship
- Direct day-to-day technical team activities, supervising custom development in Apex, LWC, Visualforce, and Flow Orchestration.
- Run mandatory code review sessions, enforce bulkification and governor limit patterns, and eliminate platform bottlenecks.
- Mentor and coach technical team members through developer and architect certification pathways, fostering a high-quality delivery culture.
4. DevOps, Quality & Technical Governance
- Establish and drive CI/CD release and environment automation pipelines using tools such as Git, Jenkins, Copado, Flosum, or GitHub Actions.
- Participate in Architectural Review Boards (ARB) to critique, standardize, and approve solution designs.
- Enforce native platform security controls, environment segregation, and corporate IT compliance standards across all project tracks.
5. Stakeholder Management & Advisory
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for client leadership, security boards, and key business stakeholders.
- Translate complex technical capabilities into strategic advice for non-technical business leaders.
- Collaborate closely with Solution Architects, Project/Delivery Managers, and sales teams to validate SOWs and project delivery constraints.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Total Experience: 12+ years in technical software engineering and development, with a minimum of 8+ years focused explicitly on Salesforce platform development and architecture.
- Multi-Cloud Expertise: Proven track record architecting and delivering solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience/Community Cloud; familiarity with Data Cloud or Marketing Cloud is highly desirable.
- Core Technical Mastery: 5+ years of hands-on experience building custom solutions using Lightning Web Components (LWC), Apex, Visualforce, and Salesforce APIs.
- Integration & Security: Deep experience with integration patterns, REST/SOAP APIs, middleware orchestration, OAuth, SAML, and SSO.
- DevOps & Release: Demonstrated experience implementing automated CI/CD pipelines, source control strategies (Git), and sandbox/metadata management.
- Methodology: Proven history running technical delivery tracks in Agile frameworks across global onshore/offshore teams.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Preferred Certifications
- Architect Track: Salesforce Certified Application Architect or System Architect (CTA is a major advantage).
- Development Track: Platform Developer I & Platform Developer II.
- Consulting/Cloud: Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, or Data Cloud Consultant certifications.
