Duties

• Lead and supervise salon staff, including hiring, training, coaching, and evaluating performance to promote a high-performing team.
• Manage daily salon operations, ensuring smooth workflow, efficient scheduling, and optimal client service delivery.
• Oversee retail sales activities by implementing effective merchandising strategies, managing inventory levels, and ensuring product knowledge among staff.
• Handle all aspects of employee orientation, onboarding new team members with comprehensive training on salon procedures, customer service standards, and Meevo system.
• Maintain accurate payroll processing, bookkeeping records, and cash handling procedures in compliance with company policies.
• Monitor inventory control and purchasing to ensure the availability of products while minimizing waste or overstocking.
• Drive sales management initiatives by setting targets, motivating staff, and analyzing sales data to achieve revenue goals.
• Ensure excellent customer service by addressing client concerns promptly and maintaining a friendly, professional environment.
• Implement operational management practices including shift management, pricing strategies, and store management protocols.
• Foster a positive team culture through effective communication skills, leadership development, and ongoing training & development programs.

Requirements

• Proven supervisory or managerial experience within the retail or beauty industry; previous assistant manager experience is highly valued.
• Strong knowledge of retail management principles including inventory management, merchandising, POS systems, and cash handling.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate teams and deliver clear managerial communication.
• Demonstrated experience in recruiting, interviewing, employee orientation, and training & development processes.
• Proficiency in basic math skills for retail math calculations such as pricing, budgeting, and sales analysis.
• Skilled in operational management tasks including store management, shift scheduling, inventory control, and merchandising.
• Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently with excellent organizational skills and time management.
• Knowledge of customer service best practices along with phone etiquette for professional client interactions.
• Leadership qualities with a focus on team management and fostering a positive work environment.
